579TH MEDICAL GROUP
The 579th Medical Group has a proud history and enjoys a reputation of being an indisputable leader in quality medical and dental care.

The group provides health care services supporting Headquarters Air Force, the Defense Intelligence Agency, Headquarters Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), three wings and 233 Geographically Separated Units in 126 countries.

The group delivers medical and dental care to 20,000 tri-Service beneficiaries assigned to the National Capital Region (NCR), including SECDEF, SECAF and CSAF.

The group also directs an Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency program, and plans, trains and deploys to support worldwide contingencies.

The men and women of the 579th Dental Squadron are committed to ensuring the oral health and readiness of military personnel in the National Capital Region. The squadron takes pride in providing outstanding dental care to military personnel and eligible beneficiaries, and is dedicated to providing the best value dentistry by delivering quality care in an efficient, effective and customer-focused manner. 579th Medical Operations Squadron
The men and women of the 579th Medical Operations Squadron ensure the combat readiness of Headquarters Air Force, the Defense Intelligence Agency, Headquarters Air Force District of Washington, three wings and 233 Globally Separated Units in 126 countries. The squadron employs 130 personnel to oversee the health of over 20,000 assigned in the National Capitol Region. The squadron also provides administrative/clinical support for the tri-service Pentagon Clinic, and delivers flight medicine to DoD fliers and worldwide medical support to the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Air Force, Air Force Chief of Staff and other Department Of Defense officials.
